In 2003, we recognized the need for a Tungsten Carbide ring of higher quality without the lengthy turn around time. We also discovered that customers were often forced to wait longer if their ring qualified as a “special order” simply because their ring size was larger or smaller than average. At Towvany, we believe that by using only the highest quality Tungsten Carbide available and by getting the customer their ring within 10 days regardless of size, style or engraving, we stand above the competition. Therefore, with customer satisfaction as our priority and over 30 years of experience in both grinding and polishing Tungsten Carbide, we created “The Towvany Collection”. Some additional qualities that set Towvany apart from the competition include… * Each ring is 100% custom made in our shop to ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship from start to finish. * Our rings include a Lifetime Warranty and a one time free resizing. * Each ring includes free personalized engraving. * We offer 16 unique styles available in 5mm, 7mm or 9 mm’s widths. * With our state of the art equipment, our tolerances are as close as 1/40 the thickness of a human hair. We firmly believe that our commitment to outstanding customer service is exceeded only by the superior quality of the Tungsten Carbide rings we create.
Does Towvany offer personalized engraving? Yes! Towvany offers personalized engraving at no additional charge to you. Our rings are already engraved with our name to ensure that you are getting the highest quality Tungsten Carbide available. Can Tungsten Carbide rings ever scratch? The only way to scratch or damage the finish on a Tungsten Carbide ring is by extreme measures. Diamonds are one of the few materials that can possibly scratch the surface of our mirror finish. In situations that you would normally remove your ring to prevent the possibility of scratching or damaging the finish of your ring are no longer a concern. Over many years of use your Tungsten Carbide ring may develop small micro-scratches on the surface, but that will not diminish the mirror finish. Because Tungsten Carbide is extremely strong and resist scratching compared to the traditional metals used in rings they are a little more brittle. In the unlikely event that your ring ever chips or breaks, it will be covered by our outstanding warranty. The Towvany collection are all comfort-fit style, to provide comfort while wearing your ring and removing it. Because our rings have been designed to be maintenance free we include a Lifetime Warranty (Click here). What is Tungsten and Tungsten Carbide? Tungsten symbolized by a (W) or #74 on the periodic element table is a very hard and dense metal. Tungsten is used in many applications such as a filament wire in most light bulbs due to it's extraordinary melting point of 6,100 degrees F, the highest melting point of all metals. When Tungsten and other elements are combined with Carbon it is transformed into Tungsten Carbide (WC), which falls between 8 and 9 1/2 on the Mohs hardness scale. Only after Tungsten and Carbon have been combined using the right binder do you get the extremely strong and scratch resistant metal that has been used for over 50 years as a cutting tool for industrial applications. Our Tungsten Carbide rings are not only visually stunning, but durable for every-day use. You don't have to constantly remove your ring to protect it's finish. Can a Tungsten Carbide ring be safely removed if necessary? Yes! Tungsten Carbide rings can be removed safely. If a Tungsten Carbide ring has to be removed due to excessive weight gain, hand injury etc., assistance can be easily provided by contacting a jeweler or medical facility. Tungsten Carbide doesn't create much more of a challenge then removing a gold or platinum ring.
